SHINE YOUR LITE!

At Lite the Nite we love kids! We recognize that children are the future of our sport and work diligently to pass our love of the water on to kids at every opportunity. Through the outdoors sports of fishing, hunting, and camping children learn more about life than a video game can ever teach them. Patience, responsibility, communication, and ethical behavior are just a handful of the important values that children learn through the outdoors.

Captain Josh realized early on that Lite the Nite could serve as wonderful tool to help expose many kids to the outdoors that otherwise may not have the opportunity. So, the "Shine your Lite" program was born and exists for the sole purpose of helping to get deserving children on the water to experience the Panhandle's amazing coastal environment.

Here's how it works: If you have a child, know a child, or are a child that has displayed strong ethical behavior in a tough situation, tell us about it! Complete the form located on this page and submit it to us or simply write and mail a letter to us describing the situation and the resulting actions by the child.

We do ask that you include the contact information for a
teacher, principal, or other adult that was involved and can corroborate the story. We accept applications continuously and as time and money allow we select applicants and award them a FREE fishing trip with Lite the Nite for the
selected child and his or her parents!

This program is open to children of all ages, however, most of our selected applicants are between the ages of 6 and 16. We ask that you only apply once per 12 month period and that at least one legal parent or guardian accompany the
child on his or her trip.

This program is a part of Lite the Nite Charters and is not a nonprofit organization. Trips are primarily funded by Captain Josh; however private donations do allow us to select more applicants for trips. If you'd like to donate to help make a trip possible we would be honored and humbled to accept, however, your donation will not be tax deductible at this time.
